The Internal Audit Department provides:
a) Identify the risks facing the Agency and assess the quality of their management;
b) Assessment of the adequacy and efficiency of the financial management and control system;
c) Development of annual and strategic internal audit plans in accordance with the rules established by law;
d) Conducting an internal audit;
e) Assessment/monitoring of the compliance of the Agency's activities with the legislation of Georgia;
f) Assessing the adequacy of the assets, other resources, and information of the Ministry;
g) Checking the existence of official misconduct and / or actions inconsistent with the goals of the institution;
h) control over the observance of the requirements of the legislation of Georgia by the central office and territorial bodies of the Agency;
i) taking appropriate preventive measures by the staff of the central office and territorial bodies of the Agency to prevent violations of discipline and legality, identification and analysis of risk factors;
j) Sending a report on the activities performed by the end of the following month of each reporting quarter and at the beginning of each year (in the form agreed with the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry) to the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry;
k) Introduction of labor safety standards in the process of activities of persons employed in the Agency, control over their use and protection.
