In connection with the World Environment Day, at the initiative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, a cleaning up action was held on the territory of Borjomi Plateau. "Let's live in harmony with nature" - as part of the campaign, well-known public figures - actors, athletes, civil activists, and journalists - took part in the cleaning up action on the territory of the State Forest Fund.

The celebration of Environment Day aims to raise awareness of human responsibility towards nature, promote sustainable environmental development, and actively involve the public in the fight to preserve and improve the environment.

On December 15, 1972, the UN General Assembly declared June 5 as World Environment Day. On this day, a UN conference was opened in Stockholm to discuss the problems of the human environment.
