The necessary equipment was handed over to the National Forestry Agency
As part of the ECOserve project “Natural Resources Management and Provision of Ecosystem Services for Sustainable Rural Development in the South Caucasus,” the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), to support the fulfillment of duties, donated forest inventory equipment, computers, uniforms for timber production groups to the National Forestry Agency.
ECOserve program is implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and technical support from GIZ. The aim of the project is to contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources in Georgia, taking into account the goals of biodiversity. The program provides technical support to the process of reform of the forest sector in Georgia, the development of monitoring and forest information systems (FIMS), the growth of the share of renewable energy and energy efficiency in energy sources.
