Reforestation project in Satsire
Head of the National Forestry Agency Archil Nikoleishvili visited Satsire village, Imereti region, where reforestation works are going on in tourist zone. In works along with popular faces took part representatives of local government and public school pupils. On the territory of forest fund were planted up to 100 chestnut and dzelkova seedlings.
On the initiative of "Resort Satsire development fund" National Forestry Agency worked out the Reforestation Project on 23,4 ha, wich along with natural development support implies planting 18,900 seedlings of different species, including protected species, listed in the Red List.
Satsire is one of the most important resort zone administrative territory of Tkibuli, the unikness of wich is due to its landscape and natural environment. During the last two years National Forestry Agency implemented sanitary conditions improving measures on the resort surrounding territory.
