Reforestation project of burned out territory in Daba Tsagveri

After the village Daba in the Borjomi Gorge, the Forest Restoration project is being implemented near Daba Tsagveri on the territory burned down in 2017. At this stage, cleaning work has been completed on an area of ​​402 hectares, after which 8500 coniferous and deciduous seedlings will be planted.

A total of 282,730 coniferous and deciduous seedlings were planted near the village of Daba on an area of ​​144 hectares in autumn 2018 and spring 2019.

At this stage, autumn work is being carried out, in the framework of which about 80 thousand seedlings will be planted. And in 2020, the National Forestry Agency will restore the remaining 106 ha. It should be noted that the local population is employed at the work.
