Reforestation project in Daba village

In the village of Daba, Borjomi Gorge, the autumn forest restoration work was completed. About 80 thousand seedlings were planted on an area of ​​144 hectares. In next 2020 the National Forestry Agency will restore the remaining 106 ha.

To 2018-2019 years the National Forest Agency developed a phased restoration project for a total of 234 hectares.
At the first stage, restoration began on an area of ​​144 hectares, in the framework of which in the fall of 2018 and in the spring of 2019 year 282,730 seedlings of coniferous and deciduous trees were planted in total.

It should be noted, that in the work, along with specialist foresters, also the local population was involved.
