Meeting with journalists, highlighting the environmental themes
At the initiative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, in Ikalto, in the hotel "Savaneti", a meeting was held with journalists working on environmental issues. The Head of the National Forestry Agency Archil Nikoleishvili introduced the media representatives with the main activities and future projects of the Agency. Forest inventory and monitoring; care and restoration of the forest; timber manufacturing; issuance of permits for various types of forestuse; allocation of logging sites for social logging and provision of the population with firewood - are issues journalists have received comprehensive information.
Media representatives also took part in a forestry quiz. The meeting was organized with the financial support of the Society for International Cooperation.
