The National Forestry Agency in the Borjomi gorge in the area damaged by fires in 2008–2017, as part of a forest-restoration project, conducts interim monitoring.

The National Forestry Agency completed the restoration work at the end of May of this year. About 35 thousand deciduous and coniferous saplings were planted on an area of ​​144 hectares, after which maintenance works were continued. It is important to note, that the trees planted have a high percentage of prosperity.

The National Forestry Agency will continue planting works in the fall. The local population is employed at the works.
