Eco lesson for refugee children

On the initiative of the National Forestry Agency, the eco-lesson was held in the State forest fund near Shiomgvime for the refugee children from the gorge Didi Liakhvi and Akhalgori.

The forester-entomologist of the agency told the children about the biological diversity of Georgia, about the widespread and red-listed species. The meeting was interactive. Pupils received comprehensive answers to their questions. Also today, the Deputy Head of the Agency, Natia Iordanishvili, awarded pupils with the certificate “Young Forester”. The objective of such events is to increase the self-awareness of adolescents in environmental protection and rules of behavior in the environment.
