Meeting with students of Forestry sector
The Head of the National Forestry Agency Archil Nikoleishvili met with students of the forestry sector of the Technical University of Georgia and presented them future plans in the forestry sector.
The Head of the agency noted, for the further development of the industry, it is necessary to have qualified personnel. The main problem is, that the country has a shortage of foresters with the necessary qualifications.
Therefore, at the initiative of the agency, excellent students will have an internship at a Forestry Agency, and if it would be successful, they will be employed in the relevant regional service. At the initiative of the Forestry Agency, 15 foresters-taksatars, who have been retrained by the agency's specialists, are already working on forest inventory.
