Meeting with lecturers of professional colleges
National Forest Agency, with the support of the governments of Germany and Austria, has been actively involved in promoting forestry education in the country since 2014. Forestry program is successfully undertaken in four vocational schools throughout Georgia (Kobuleti, Akhaltsikhe, Kachreti and Tsinamdzghirantkari). The training is fully funded by the state.
Natia Iordanishvili, Deputy Head of National Forestry met with teachers of professional colleges and listened to the report on the program progress. There was also discussed the involvement of the Forest Agency and its further assistant of the study process. Training modules will be renewed, which will be effective in preparing skilled forest specialist.
Forestry Agency will conntinue support forestry education in the country in the future. The forest specialist profession is necessary and prioritized, it is important demand for professional staff is increased.
