Construction-rehabilitation of forestry roads
The National Forestry Agency implements construction and rehabilitation of forestry roads on the national scale with the aim of unhindered provision of the population with a wood resource. As winter is coming, the Governer of the region together with representatives of the Regional service of the National Forestry Agency got acquainted with the current works in the village Mtispiri of Ozurgeti municipality.
Rehabilitation of roads will also contribute to preventive firefighting activities and forest maintenance-reforestation works. Also, it will make easier for the population to take firewood from the felling areas allocated by the agency.
As a result of ongoing work, the ecological condition of the forests will be improved, the effectiveness of measures to combat fires and care-restoration of the forest will rise.
