In total, 376,984 cubic meters of various types of wood were confiscated by the National Forestry Agency and the Department of Environmental Supervision employees, including 118.67 cubic meters of firewood and 242,655 cubic meters of industrial wood, which will be stored in the Agency's "business yards".
The 35 facts of illegal logging were detected by the employees of the Kakheti Forest Service, 11 - Kvemo Kartli, 2 - Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 8 - Shida Kartli, 33 - Samtskhe-Javakheti, 11 - Imereti, 8 - Guria, 3 - Racha- Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, and 6 violations were detected by the employees of the Forestry Service of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti.
Regarding the violation, appropriate documentation was drawn up, and vehicles have been sealed and transferred to the "business yards" of the Agency. Case materials were sent to relevant agencies for further response.
