Asian Halyomorpha halys monitoring systems have been installed on the outer perimeter of the forest under the management of the National Forestry Agency in the Imereti region, Tkibuli. Measures against Asian Halyomorpha halys are underway in accordance with the plan. Monitoring systems are located across the country, through which the number of pests and distribution area is determined. "Attract and destroy" technology stations will be deployed on the forest perimeter, which will reduce the spread of the pest from forests on the agricultural lands.

Over 10 thousand pheromone traps were installed on the outer perimeter of the forest under the management of the National Forestry Agency in Imereti region.

Coordination headquarters for the fight against pests has been set up in Western Georgia, Abasha Municipality, in order to carry out activities effectively; in addition, the data base is being created where the results of the monitoring will be reflected on interactive map and based on the analysis of the results activities will be planned according to the municipalities. The state has mobilized 150 units of high-speed specialized equipment, which is increased tenfold compared to last year.
