The employees of the National Forestry Agency revealed 82 facts of timber illegal harvesting and transportation during the October

In total, 368,116 cubic meters of wood of different types were confiscated by the employees of the National Forestry Agency and the Department of Environmental Supervision, including  128,87 cubic meters of firewood, and 239,246 cubic meters of manufacturing timber, which is now stored in the "business yards" of the National Forestry Agency.

17 violations were detected by the employees of Kakheti Forestry Service, 7 - Kvemo Kartli, 2 – Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 3 - Shida Kartli, 5 - Samtskhe-Javakheti, 2 - Imereti, 2 - violations were detected by Racha-Lechkhumi Kvemo Svaneti, and 8- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Forest Service employees.

Appropriate documentation was issued for the offenders, vehicles were sealed and moved to the "business yards" of the Agency. Case materials have been forwarded to relevant agencies for further response.
