Forest restoration project on the territory of Borjomi plateau is going on

With the support of the National Forestry Agency and the company IDS Borjomi Georgia, the forest restoration project on the territory of the Borjomi Plateauis going on. During the fall works, 3,000 Caucasian pine seedlings were planted at the plateau area. The event was attended by representatives of local self-government.

The joint project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the company is being implemented on the territory of Borjomi Plateau for the fifth year already. A total of 23,000 seedlings were planted on an area of ​​4.5 hectares within the framework of the project #Borjomifan. The project also envisages a 5-year plan for seedling care.

The aim of the campaign is to rehabilitate the Borjomi forest, improve the ecological situation and promote the active involvement of the community in the forest restoration process.
