Within the framework of the project 'Sustainable Forest Management in Adigeni Municipality,' ecotourism infrastructure, including a picnic and camping area has been established in the village of Utkisubani. The primary goal of the project is to strengthen sustainable forest management in Adigeni Municipality.

'With the financial support of the Government of Slovenia, we have implemented an important project in Adigeni Municipality. The development of tourism infrastructure and the multi-purpose use of forests are among the priority directions of the forestry reform. As part of the project, tourist trails and summer volunteer camps were set up on-site, which collectively will contribute to the development of ecotourism in the region,' stated Besik Amiranashvili, Head of the National Forestry Agency.

The project was implemented with the financial support of the Centre for International Cooperation and Development (CMSR) of the Republic of Slovenia, alongside a consortium of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Caucasus Programme and Zavita Consulting, with a total expenditure of €1,099,940. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, as well as local government officials.
