Timber illegal logging and transportation statistics - November 2025

Employees of the National Forestry Agency identified 70 cases of legal violations in the month of November this year.

Out of these violations, 66 cases were related to illegal logging and transportation of timber. A total of up to 147 cubic meters of various types of illegally harvested timber were seized, which were stored in the Agency's "business yards."

Nationwide, the illegal logging violations were identified as follows: 13 cases by employees of the Imereti Forestry Service, 2 by Samtskhe-Javakheti, 5 by Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, 12 by Kvemo Kartli, 12 by Kakheti, 2 by Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 7 by Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, and 13 by employees of the Shida Kartli Forestry Service.

Additionally, 4 cases of illegal occupation of state forest lands were identified in the regions of Guria, Shida Kartli, and Kakheti. Since January 2025, employees of the National Forestry Agency have identified 60 cases of illegal occupation of state forest lands nationwide.

It is noteworthy that from January to November 2025, employees of the National Forestry Agency have identified a total of 576 cases of illegal logging and transportation of timber nationwide; the volume of resources stored in "business yards" reached 1497 cubic meters.
