With the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Sweden, a special training course for the staff of the National Forestry Agency and the regional forest services was conducted within the framework of the ongoing project "Facilitating the Introduction of Multifunctional Forest Use Practices". Up to 400 employees of the Agency have been trained to ensure the effective enforcement of the new Forest Code.

A special program prepared on the issues defined by the Code will help the Agency staff to effectively perform their duties. As part of the course, 120 employees will also be trained in forest firefighting organization and tactics. The program is prepared by the Emergency Management Service, and in addition to the theoretical part, it includes practical training, and the local population will be involved as volunteers.
