Employees of the Kvemo Kartli Forestry Service discovered a case of illegal logging and transportation in the Bolnisi-Dmanisi forestry area.
An administrative offense report was drawn up against a local resident who illegally obtained firewood of the Ceratonia species.
The vehicle used for transportation was impounded, and the illegally harvested timber was moved to the Bolnisi 'Business Yard.'
It is noteworthy that in order to prevent, detect, and suppress the illegal use of natural resources, monitoring is carried out not only through patrols by employees of regional forestry services, but also with the help of video traps and drones placed in state forests.
