Over the past week, several forest fires have been recorded in the Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions. Human negligence is considered a possible cause of the fire outbreak.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the National Forestry Agency call on the population to follow safety rules - to obey the established regulations for movement and behavior in the forest.

Any negligence and violation of safety norms that will cause a forest fire will result in a fine. Considering the damage caused by the fire, the case may be classified as criminal. As for the destruction of a forest by setting fire, the law provides for imprisonment for a term of 4 to 8 years.

It is a sad fact that, according to statistics, the main cause of forest fires is human negligence.
