On their professional day, Minister Otar Shamugia congratulated the foresters and expressed gratitude for their contribution to the forestry sector. Additionally, successful foresters of the year were recognized and awarded symbolic gifts for their challenging and hazardous activities.

"I congratulate each forester on his professional day and especially thank for their work. I would say that it is a proud, honorable and, at the same time, very responsible profession. It is important that foresters have proper working conditions, decent pay, appropriate equipment. We have been taking care of this for years. It is part of our agenda to further develop the capabilities of our forestry agency in the future, to provide foresters with social guarantees, appropriate infrastructure, and equipment in order to be able to carry out their activities more effectively. Once again, I would like to thank every forester who conscientiously serves our country", said Otar Shamugia.

According to the minister, the forestry sector has results that will bring even more benefits to the country's population in the future. To obtain these benefits, it is necessary to properly manage forest resources, protect, maintain and restore forests, in which the role of foresters is special.
