Training program for safe work in the forest
For employees of the National Forestry Agency, a large-scale training program on safe work in forests is being implemented using the Slovenian method.
The training is taking place within the framework of the project "Sustainable Forest Management in Adigeni Municipality, Phase II". The financial supporter of the project is the Centre for International Cooperation and Development of the Republic of Slovenia (CMSR) in Georgia.
The second phase of the project is particularly important for the development of sustainable forest management in Adigene Municipality. Along with field training, forest roads, ecotourism infrastructure - footpaths, camping and picnic areas will be arranged, taking into account the Slovenian practice.
It should be noted that within the framework of the project "Sustainable Forest Management in Adigeni Municipality, Phase I", during the past two years, inventory works were carried out in Adigeni Municipality on an area of 33,836 ha, forest management and recreational development plans were prepared, "Business Yard" was equipped with necessary equipment for effective operation.
The project "Sustainable forest management in the municipality of Adigeni" is implemented with the financial support of the Slovenian government, representatives of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Caucasus Program Consortium and Zavita Consulting.
The main objectives of the project are to improve the socio-economic conditions of the local communities united in the sustainable management of forests and environmental agreements in the municipality of Adigeni.
The total budget of the project is 1,099,940 euros. The contribution of the National Forestry Agency to the project is 551,500 euros, and the amount of the grant amount, in total, is 548,440 euros.
