Timber illegal harvesting in Racha-Lechkhum-Kvemo Svaneti
Employees of the Racha-Lechkhum-Kvemo Svaneti Forestry Service uncovered illegal logging and transportation of timber in Tlughi village, Ambrolauri.
The offender was transporting up to 6 cubic meters of softwood to a registered sawmill for processing with a tracked vehicle. The registered sawmill and tracked vehicle were sealed; Illegally harvested timber was transferred to the "business yard" of Ambrolauri. Materials will be sent to relevant authorities for further response.
