The employees of the National Forestry Agency revealed 87 facts of timber illegal logging and transportation in this year November

Employees of regional services of the National Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia revealed 80 facts of timber illegal logging and transportation throughout the country in November of this year.

13 violations were detected by the employees of the Kakheti Forest Service, 3 - Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 2 - Kvemo Kartli, 3 - Samtskhe-Javakheti, 26 - Shida Kartli, 7- Guria, 11 - Imereti, 12 - Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, and 3 - Racha-Lechkhumi Kvemo Svaneti Forest Service.

Documentation has been prepared for the offenders, and their vehicles have been impounded and moved to the agency's "business yards." Case materials were sent to relevant agencies for further response.

In November 2023, National Forestry Agency employees impounded 43 cubic meters of various wood types, including up to 35 cubic meters of firewood, and up to 8 cubic meters of firewood.

As for the period from January to November 2023, the National Forestry Agency has identified 1064 facts of illegal logging and transportation of timber throughout the country, the volume of resources stored in "business yards" amounted to 1472 cubic meters.
