Measures against harmful insects in Akhalkalaki

In the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, in the Akhalkalaki pine forest, specialists of the National Forestry Agency recorded the facts of the massive reproduction of the pest - the pine beetle. Specialists of the National Forestry Agency carry out poisoning works in the mentioned area in cooperation with the National Food Agency. 

To destroy the foci of the pest spread area was treated twice. The recreational and ecological functions in the pine grove will fully be restored after the treatment.

To control forest pests and diseases in the entire country, the National Forestry Agency introduced the forest pathological monitoring system two years ago, which allows early notification of threats and quick response. The employees of the National Forestry Agency continuously monitor harmful insects and diseases that harm the forest in the country.
