In the village of Avlev, Kareli municipality results forest entomologist's pine grove study revealed that the spread of the pest insect - the pine beetle exceeds the permissible limit.

Specialists of the National Forestry Agency in cooperation with the National Food Agency carried out poisoning of the territory.

It should be noted that to control forest pests and diseases in the country's entire territory, the National Forestry Agency introduced the forest pathological monitoring system two years ago, which allows for early notification of threats and quick response.
