On the initiative of the National Forestry Agency, within the framework of World Environmental Protection Day, a cleaning action was held on the territory of the state forest in Bulachauri village of Dusheti municipality.

Actors, athletes, civil activists, and journalists took part in the action with the Head of the National Forestry Agency Kakha Tsertsvadze. The event highlighted the importance of community involvement in environmental conservation, improvement, and pollution prevention activities.

World Environmental Protection Day has been held since 1973 on the initiative of the United Nations. In 2023, the central message of World Environmental Protection Day is the issue of plastic pollution - #BeatPlasticPollution (#NoPlasticPollution).

"On this year's World Environmental Protection Day, millions of people are uniting in the fight against plastic so that we can work together to reduce pollution. It is important for each citizen to show social responsibility, to understand the severity of the problem, and to take care of waste reduction with common efforts", said the Head of the National Forestry Agency, Kakha Tsertsvadze.

Celebrities once again called on the population not to leave waste in nature.
