Representatives of the World Bank Mission in Borjomi Gorge

Representatives of the Mission of the World Bank are on a working visit in Georgia. The National Forestry Agency is actively cooperating with the World Bank in the forest sector. During the visit the mission representatives visited the Borjomi Gorge, where they got acquainted with the preventive measures taken against the forest fires that had recently became more frequent. Experts, based on the information received, will develop recommendations, that will guide the direction of further cooperation.

Representatives of the World Bank also met with the staff of the Emergency Situations Management Service and the Agency for Protected Areas, which provided them with information about the implemented and planned projects in the sector. In addition, the perspectives of further cooperation were planned.
