In all regions of Georgia, in almost all municipalities, works are being carried out to arrange "business yards". At the initiative of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, "business yards" have already been organized in Imereti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Kakheti regions. With the financial support of the German government, "business yards" will be equipped with video surveillance equipment, which will help strengthen the control and security rules at facilities.

As it is known, the National Forestry Agency is changing the practice of timber production. Social logging will be phased out, the agency will organize timber production, sorting, and warehousing "business yards". This change will make it easier for the population and the private sector to purchase and transport timber at the desired time.

The works for arranging "business yards" have already been completed at 13 objects. By the end of the year, a total of 26 "business yards" will be arranged across the country. As a result, in order to produce timber resources, forest use will be implemented much more efficiently, illegal logging and negative impact on the forest will be reduced.
