Within the framework of the project "Sustainable Forest Management in Adigeni Municipality", a forest inventory will be carried out for the Adigeni forest district, and a forest management plan will be prepared. A multi-purpose forest use plan will also be developed. The project is financially supported by the Government of Slovenia and will involve Slovenian experts along with local experts. Representatives of the National Forestry Agency and Slovenian experts discussed the Slovenian experience of sustainable forest management with local self-government representatives.

Project "Sustainable Forest Management in Adigeni Municipality" is an integral part of the eco-corridor program. It is noteworthy that community associations were formed under the WWF Eco-Corridors Program. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the local population living in Adigeni Municipality, which in turn will facilitate the involvement of organized community associations (community unions) in the service process in the forestry sector.

The project, which aims to promote sustainable forest management and improve the socio-economic situation of the local population, will be completed by the end of 2021.
